Lefty Grove might be one of the most underrated pitchers of all time.

Sure his career ERA is 3.01, but he has led the league in ERA 9 times (The record). He played in the offense-happy 30s, where the average ERA was above 4.00.

He led the league in ERA in 1930 with 2.54. The average league-wide ERA was 4.80.

After hearing that Gaylord Perry hit a long fly ball during batting practice, Alvin Dark claimed that "[The United States will] have a man on the moon before [Perry] hits a home run."

Sure enough, on July 20, 1969, during a Giants-Dodgers game, after the Eagle landed on the moon, Gaylord connected with a pitch that went over the fence. He hit his first big-league home run 34 minutes after the moon landing.

Ron Wright played only one major league baseball game - but it was memorable! Due to to injuries to Edgar Martinez and Jeff Cirillo, Ron was inserted into the Seattle Mariners starting lineup on April 14, 2002 against the Atlanta Braves. In his three at-bats, Ron struck out, hit into a triple play, and hit into a double play. Thus, Ron's 3 major league at-bats produced 6 outs!

Is Moonlight Graham on here?

If not, Graham was placed as a defensive replacement in a game between the Giants and Brooklyn. He lasted two innings and did not get a single play or at bat. He only appeared in one game with no plate appearances and never returned to baseball.
