Jim Levey had a -2.7 WAR in 1931. The next year he finished in the top 20 for MVP with a -0.5 WAR. Then in 1933 he had a -3.9 WAR which is the worst of all time. They say he had a good personality.

The first move in MLB history occurred in 1877, when the Hartford Dark Blues became the... Brooklyn Hartfords.
Bartolo Colon has more HOF votes than 7-time Gold Glove Winner Devon White.
(Colon only has a Cy Young to show. But that Cy Young is questionable because Colon beat out Johan Santana. Santana has a lower WHIP, more strikeouts, and a lower ERA than Colon that year. Colon, however, did have more wins.)
Anyways, Randy Johnson was not the only one to kill a bird during a game. Dave Winfield did the same thing years earlier and got arrested in Canada in 1983. The charges were dropped a couple days later.

A MLB player has played for both teams in the same game for the first time. A game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox was postponed partway through due to bad weather, and when the game was resumed two months later, Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen had been traded to the Red Sox, who later lost the game 1-4.
@CambodianQuizzer @McKenzieFam @Neodymium AND he was at bat when the game was postponed so the team he was on before had to pinch-hit him. HE was also behind the plate as catcher in the Same at-bat when it Restarted! So he was batter and catcher in the same at-bat.
A Diamondbacks fan won tickets to a Diamondbacks game (1 in 300,000). Before she went, she was given an offer by a company that she would win 1 million dollars if she could pick the correct player and inning to hit a grand slam. She chose the 6th inning and Jay Bell.
Eventually, the bases were loaded in the sixth inning. The person who came up to bat was Jay Bell. Bell knew that he could win the fan a million dollars. The play? Bell hit a grand slam, and the woman and her family won the money.
Tommy John made it to three World Series in his career, with the Dodgers in 1977 and 1978 and the Yankees in 1981. His team lost all three, to the Yankees, the Yankees, and the Dodgers respectively, making him play in a Dodgers-Yankees World Series 3 times and never once winning it.
Also, he has the longest career without winning a World Series.
The US Congress holds an annual baseball game each summer in order to raise money for charities in and around Washington DC, with Democratic and Republican members of Congress duking it out in Nationals Park. Republicans have won the last four games after star Democrat Cedric Richmond retired in 2021, with Republicans winning the 2024 game by a margin of 31-11.
The record for the most foul balls in an at-bat in Major League Baseball is 16 foul balls, achieved by Brandon Belt in a 21-pitch at-bat against Jaime Barria of the Angels on April 22, 2018. This at-bat, which lasted nearly 13 minutes, was the longest on record since 1988.

Hank Sauer, Jackie Jensen, Bobby Shantz, Terry Pendleton, and Jim Konstanty did.
Terrance Gore hit 0 Home Runs but won 3 World Series.
