Question number 2 is flawed, as there are two interpretations which yield different answers. The intended interpretation is that eg "Berlin" < "Paris" in alphabetical order. But the other (equally valid) interpretation is that eg "The capital of France" < "The capital of Germany" in alphabetical order. Thus there are two correct answers, depending how you interpret the question.
