I was chasing your score and brain farted on the crucifix question. Think I'd have come up just short anyhow, nice job :)

Nooooo!!! I could’ve had my best score ever with something like 9920 but I totally biffed it on Luciano, and I definitely have heard of Lucky Luciano before. EarlHaig got me!

Got 995 on the capital of Vietnam. That might be an all-time high for me. Otherwise 8/10. Nice questions today

Who are the 5% who think it can't get below 0 degrees celsius?

They were probably speed reading and misunderstood the question. I did something similar on the crucifix question.

same, im struggling to find the balance between reading quickly or slowing down to fully understand the question.

Fix this. The capital of Vietnam is officially named Ho Chi Minh City, though many people still call it by its former name, Hanoi.

unfortunately not. Ho Chi Minh City was formerly named Saigon. Hanoi is a totally separate city over 1,500 kilometers to the north.

I don’t like being overly negative, but before complaining please just do a bit of research, it literally takes one Google search to see that they are completely separate cities.

Yeah, first 10/10 of this month, and my 15th best (9761).

I was nearly 100% sure for Lucky Luciano but hesitated a lot before answering :D

The stat about how this measures up against my other 10/10 scores isn't there anymore. Did they do away with it?

I was for some reason convinced an octopus only has two hearts, probably too much Dr Who... I didn't know the league of nations or Luciano anyway though so a bad day regardless

Man, 9/10. I hope I can get another 10 soon as I'm sort of trailing behind probably. The only one I got wrong was an easy one (Hanoi) which I probably would've gotten right if I'd just noticed that answer. I was thinking of "Apocalypse Now" and how he was in Saigon which was later called Ho Chi Minh City and then demoted from capital status.

Unfriending someone is permanent, right? So is there a way I can just remove someone from my leaderboard so I don’t have to see their cheating scores? 🤔

Unfriend them

I think defriending is the only option, I just did it to someone myself, might even have been the same person you're talking about.

I'm not saying it's *impossible* to legitimately score 9,950+, but to do it multiple times on an account that's also posted scores below 5k, that's definitely fishy as far as I'm concerned

Do they have like 3 straight weeks of 9930 plus scores after regularly averaging 7000?
+1
Level 89
Aug 6, 2024
Ahh no this must've been someone different, they had a whole bunch of intermittent 9950+ scores and 48% 10/10s but enough really low scores in there for it to clearly not be a natural distribution

Perhaps it’s someone who lets their kid use their account.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw the temperature question in Celsius. I know only 3 countries use Fahrenheit, but I've encountered it in so many trivia questions that I'm genuinely shocked when they use Celsius. Also I wouldn't have known the answer in Fahrenheit lol.

Being from one of those 3 countries, I could not tell you absolute zero in Fahrenheit. In science classes from elementary school to university we've only used Celsius and Kelvin
