Aye, that one threw me as I thought the Velvet Revolution was in the 50s/60s where the USSR had to send in troops. I did read that book 15 years ago and haven't used the knowledge since!!
I mean, I got the question right and ruled out Genghis Khan for the reason MasterRocket stated, but the nerd response made me laugh. It all depends on how you interpret it, and I somehow don't think the type of people who are signing up to jetpunk are going to be earnestly ignorant or dismissive of knowing things. It's clearly a joke.
I ruled out Genghis because of that, because there's no way we could have information on an extra 1700 years of his ancestry, but I foolishly went with Augustus instead because I figured his family tree might be a bit more fleshed out
Immunologist here! The appendix is considered an important organ that harbours many beneficial bacteria for the gut, contributing to a healthy microbiome! It seems to be more important early on in childhood when this is all developing :)
So QM, is it good to have a bunch of pending submitted questions so you can mull through them? Or is it better for you if we wait for you to process the ones we’ve submitted before submitting more?
The Confucius one tripped up a lot of people because aside from not paying enough attention to the years, it's easy to think of Genghis Khan because of how many people from Asia are descended from him.
Surprised that so many people picked genghis khan when the question even says 2500 years. That should have been a major clue
