well...a 7. Kinda disappointed after yesterday's 10 but hey that's life I guess. Should've been eight, I knew rocketman was Elton John but stupidly didn't choose it. Sigh
Quite the same for me, I saw "Only The Good Die Young", thought "hey that's an Iron Maiden song, definitely not the most famous one, this question is very difficult but I know the answer !". I didn't bother to read the other answers and facepalmed when I clicked.
Well, the Billy Joel question partially qualifies. I know Elton John is not American, but the US market contributed substantially to the popularity of Rocket Man. And the question was asked in terms of an American artist. You wouldn't have needed to know the nationality of the non-Joel song if you just knew which one it was.
Not my best showing, 8/10, went wrong on Kefir (despite a gut feeling telling me I was getting it mixed up with "kaffir" - very clever red herring answer there!) and the country flags, where I jumped the gun before fully reading the answers.
I suppose I should count my blessings though because I very nearly messed up the first question by saying there's 60 seconds in an hour 😅😂
Would have been my best score if i just followed my gut on the Kefir question. I eliminated them all except the milk and then of course decided to not trust my gut and picked the dance😭
the description on #8 still mentions a gaze (group of racoons) when it should mention a murder (group of crows) as that is what actually is in the question
The kefir question was the only one I had to guess, and I figured being milk was too obvious. I guess sometimes things seem obvious because they're right. It would be a great name for a hat, though!
10/10 this morning :D (Congratulations on 1 billion quizzes taken!)
I'm probably just grumpy this morning, but I personally don't like the "quirky names for a group of animal species" questions. Flamboyance does not have a dictionary definition related to Flamingos....
Again, probably just grumpy... I got the question right. I just find these words annoying.
Shoutout to Mike Posner for letting me get the Ibiza question correct as I thought he was warning against trying to impress VJs (video jockeys) in his song so I figured Ibiza had to have a lot of dance clubs with VJs playing music videos but in a strange twist of fate I just found out today he's actually warning agaist trying to impress Avicii so now my world is completely shattered and I need to go reevaluate everything I thought I knew about that song and the amount of VJs who live in Ibiza
only I'm rather pleased because I don't usually get that much :)
With time bonus, your score is 7,854
You beat or equaled 48% of test takers
The average is 7.79 atm. Seems nuts. Maybe the JP fiends who do the DTC early spike the score until more people come in
Kind of odd to see 70% get the hindu castes, but maybe it's in some bit of pop culture
I got 9/10 with some educated guesses and shots in the dark.
Good questions!
