Aww man, I messed up the last one even though I *know* the Theory of Everything was the movie, not the book 😅 9/10 but I'm kicking myself for that one haha
I got that one wrong even though I read A Brief History… back in the day. I don’t know why I went with the other one. I guess I figured a movie would be named after the better selling book.
Missed the 10/10 today, tripped on the Rumble in the Jungle question (I remembered of a famous match being thrown in Manila) and the Stephen Hawking (I hesitated between the History of Time and the Theory of Everything... and obviously took the wrong answer)
Will I ever get a 10/10? This quiz was likely the easiest for me so far (I knew most answers and the ones I didn't I could easily infer) but still slipped on the Rumble in the Jungle question
Nearly failed on last one because I first read Stephen King instead of Stephen Hawking haha!
One question though: I see often questions about the two fights in Kinshasa and Manila. Why are those 2 fights so iconic? They even have names. I don’t see any other sport events that has the same status. Even in football (soccer) that is AFAIK the most popular sport in the world. Same with Olympics (minus the terrorists in Munich). Was it something really popular back then, maybe because of Ali? Was the popularity only in the US?
The boxing one is because fights are hyped for months to increase sales. That can't happen in most other sports because advertisers won't know who (for example) will be in the FIFA World Cup final until a few days before.
Actually surprised that it wasn't the Mercator Projection. He made the Prime Meridian go right through his living room and all the countries closest to the equator get shrunk
(I will not recommend this method though)
Pretty pissed right now because I knew all of the other nine, only one I had to guess and guessed it wrong.
17 days for 8-answers.
