Another 10/10 and 9,871 points! I've been on a roll as of recent, and I hope it keeps going.

Whoops. Accidentally reset the quiz. Had to purposely get a couple wrong and take my time on a few to recreate the score 😂

If only I were sober I'd have got a perfect 10. I'll take my drunk 9 as consolation, too easy

Level 89

Been there 😂 Although sometimes I find not being sober actually helps because it cuts down on the second-guessing, so it's a mixed bag 🤣

Same with the Hawking one for me, I just locked in on the title as soon as I recognised it 😅 Ahh well, we go again tomorrow!

Same here, I found that being hangover actually helped me to stop from second-guessing :D

(I will not recommend this method though)

Aww man, I messed up the last one even though I *know* the Theory of Everything was the movie, not the book 😅 9/10 but I'm kicking myself for that one haha

That’s a book too, though, isn’t it?

I didn't think it was but apparently you're right 😅 Although the book has a subtitle, "the Origin and Fate of the Universe"

I got that one wrong even though I read A Brief History… back in the day. I don’t know why I went with the other one. I guess I figured a movie would be named after the better selling book.

Second best all time score, just got the bang crash question wrong.

Pretty pissed right now because I knew all of the other nine, only one I had to guess and guessed it wrong.

Missed the 10/10 today, tripped on the Rumble in the Jungle question (I remembered of a famous match being thrown in Manila) and the Stephen Hawking (I hesitated between the History of Time and the Theory of Everything... and obviously took the wrong answer)
+2

For future reference, it was "The Thrilla in Manilla", so it rhymes. Also there's no jungle there. :)
+1

Indeed that helps to remember for future trivia questions :) But there's jungle in Philippines, hence the possible confusion!

I haven't done a single 7-answer for 10 days now.

17 days for 8-answers.

Will I ever get a 10/10? This quiz was likely the easiest for me so far (I knew most answers and the ones I didn't I could easily infer) but still slipped on the Rumble in the Jungle question
+2
Level 66

Nearly failed on last one because I first read Stephen King instead of Stephen Hawking haha!

One question though: I see often questions about the two fights in Kinshasa and Manila. Why are those 2 fights so iconic? They even have names. I don’t see any other sport events that has the same status. Even in football (soccer) that is AFAIK the most popular sport in the world. Same with Olympics (minus the terrorists in Munich). Was it something really popular back then, maybe because of Ali? Was the popularity only in the US?

The boxing one is because fights are hyped for months to increase sales. That can't happen in most other sports because advertisers won't know who (for example) will be in the FIFA World Cup final until a few days before.

10/10. It's been a while. I even narrowed down a question to 2 and managed not to pick the wrong one. Whoo-Hoo!!!!

Actually surprised that it wasn't the Mercator Projection. He made the Prime Meridian go right through his living room and all the countries closest to the equator get shrunk
