That IS what it meant. Gagarin completed one full orbit during his flight aboard Vostok 1. You might be thinking about how Alan Shepard was the first American in space, but John Glenn was the first American to orbit the Earth.
Admittedly there aren't a lot of practical applications, but my knowledge of flags has come in handy a couple times recently. For one it helped me identify the countries represented by various athletes when I was watching the Olympics earlier this summer. Also there was a flag question on Jeopardy earlier this month; I guessed it correctly, but the contestants all got wrong. If only I had been a contestant on that episode...
9/10 because I thought the hurricane question can't be that simple and there must be some trick, like Florida getting the worst, but not the most hurricanes or so... Next time, in doubt, I go for the obvious answer again.
Just scanned all Daily Challenge average scores to find out that, unless I missed one, this is the easiest one with 8.16, I got 9/10, of course the pop culture question (5) was my downfall, that is really my only weakness and I know about 1% of pop cultures but quite often randomly guess correctly.
10/10 but I got a very lucky guess on the last one, I had no idea but I figured Swahili is probably the best-known
