This is still figurable. QI is the only 2 letter word with Q, which is otherwise a really hard letter to place on the board (because it doesnt form a lot of words), so people just drop Q next to I in many games to get rid of it
Realistically, neither would have been used by the Romans. They considered it part of Gallia Celtica in the time of Julius Caesar, and there was a group of people living there at the time of Caesar's conquest called the Helvetii.
In fairness, Confoederatio Helvetica is the place name for Switzerland in neo-Latin, and it was coined a little less than 200 years ago. The question could just use a little rewording.
8/10 for me today, it's been a tricky few days. Silly mistake on the island question, I always forget most of New York is outside Manhattan. Had no idea on the scrabble question but in hindsight I should've figured it was the shortest word.
Also took embarrassingly long working out my own question, I need to start refreshing my memory as to which ones are coming on which days 😂
6/10. I hope this isn't an omen for the rest of the day. Realized what I was doing as I got succulent wrong, but the rest I just didn't know. Could have sworn I recently heard that Manhattan was the most populated island, and I'm always playing the word zoo. Missed the capital, too. Hangs head in shame. Will try to redeem myself tomorrow.
I think a lot of people from outside NY think of Manhattan as NYC and Long Island as the suburbs and don't realize Queens and Brooklyn are on Long Island, especially since NYers usually just say "Long Island" to refer to Nassau and Suffolk
Exactly, I am aware of Queens and Brooklyn not being in Manhattan but I always figure them as being "on the continent" forgetting they are located on an island. It's easy to forget if you're not USian :)
8/10 again today. Really didn't know about most of New York City being on Long Island as someone living a long way away from the US. I got the Scrabble one wrong too. Now I think about it, there probably aren't enough 'z's in Scrabble for 'Zyzzyva'.

Had a lucky guess for the actress, I must confess.
And apparently I wasn't the only one.
long island's population is 5 times larger than manhattan's population.
population of long island=8 million people
population of manhattan=1.6 million people
hawaii only has 186k people
nantucket only has 14k people
