Dang. Fantastic time spoiled by #8 and #10. Saw Ark and was going for speed and clicked it before realizing there were two. Then that tricky word looks a lot like Lepidoptera, so I thought it might be a butterfly preserver.
No, as a New Zealander, I knew that answer. Abel Tasman was the first to discover New Zealand. However, he didn't land. Several places around New Zealand have his name (Abel Tasman National Park, Tasman Sea, Tasmania)
I got my luckiest 10/10 ever there 😅 Saw the words "bird" and "extinction", clicked dodo before I finished reading the question properly, but for some reason it didn't accept my answer 😂 Would've been on for a really good time but question 10 brought my average down a bit
10/10 two days in a row and my best all-time score. This Jetpunk site really is helping my memory. I remembered the Who killed Hamilton answer from the old "Got Milk?" commercial.
Source for "Japanese stock exchange is commonly known as 'Nikkei'?" I'm pretty sure that's just not true. Nikkei 225 is an index that gets its name from the newspaper that publishes it. It would be like saying that the NYSE is "known as" "S&P" (not a perfect comparison because S&P's indices include companies listed on multiple exchanges, but same idea).

I was almost sure the dodo was extincted only like the 17th century but I tried dodo anyway
Plus definitely not the largest bird to have ever lived.
Not bad for me.
Also was sure it was the dodo bird. Oh, well..
🤣
