That's what I initially thought, but there's only one Abbottabad where they killed Osama bin Laden. It's not like people who know the answer would get confused for any of the other Abbottabads (assuming they exist). Including the country name just calls unnecessary attention to the answer.
I think most people know that he was killed in Pakistan, but not what city. They should also kind of know that the others are in Qatar, the US, and Argentina though (on this site at least).
Preterist theologians typically support the interpretation that 666 is the numerical equivalent of the name and title Nero Caesar (Roman Emperor 54–68 AD). Written in Aramaic, this can be valued at 666 using the Hebrew numerology of gematria, and was used to secretly speak against the emperor.
I’m such a fool for picking 99. I coulda had a 9900 if I was VERY fast on that question. I actually also messed up on the Wizard of Oz question… I went to click Oz and stalled for a half second to quickly glance at the other answers. Then my phone highlighted the text when I took my finger off. So I went to tap it again and I accidentally copied the text. Then I FINALLY tapped it for just 979 points. 😂
9/10 second day running. I guess there are penguins in zoos in the n hemisphere then. Or arch criminals loose up that way. I thought the obvious answer must have been a red herring. Curses, Batman. Foiled again
There are penguins in the Galápagos Islands. “Because the northernmost point of Fernandina Island lies just inside the northern hemisphere, it is possible for these penguins to make regular incursions into the north.” (Wikipedia)
The question asked what appears ONLY in the Northern hemisphere. Penguins exist mostly in the Southern, so whether they turn up occasionally on the other side of the equator is irrelevant.
Back to 10/10 and 9,886, not quite good enough to top my leaderboard today though.
Spent too much time reading the other answers on question 9 before I remembered Borealis is specifically the Northern one 😅 And then the Popes one was an educated guess, I remember doing really badly on the Popes quiz on here a while back so I knew it was more than 100
I also made an educated guess about the popes - 2000 years on a 20-year-a-pope ratio would give 100, but I remembered John Paul II served 20 and some years and is considered an exceptionally long-reigning pope.
Knew all of them except for the Wizard of Oz one. Never seen that movie. Also, 266 popes just instantly struck me as the answer, for some reason. Must have seen 266 before.
