Good lord. Got the hardest ones no problem. Picked Mark Antony after half-reading the question. Somehow missed the words ”plot to kill” and thought it was in reference to the triumvirate or something. 🙄
I came. I saw. I got 10/10 💪 Only thanks to the time I've spent on this site that I knew Rome peaked at Trajan though 🙏 Kinda disappointed I didn't set a new high score on this theme, but still a very solid 9,924
After an extensive drought I finally got 10/10 again! Equalled my best score, and definitely would've beaten it if I didn't waste so much time looking for the right amphitheater name answer. I'll still take it though!
SO annoyed, normally I know the answers to like half of the questions, guess a few and get 6 or 7. On my only ever 10/10 I guessed on like 3 or 4 questions. Today, for the first time, I knew the answer to all of them, but of course I had to be stupid and think in the 2 seconds it took me to answer this question: Troy was in Turkey, Philadelphia must be British, Byzantium was the name of the empire, I haven't heard of Eboracum, let's try that. Of course the empire was named after its capital, and of course I knew that.
9/10 Helps since I'm halfway through re-listening Mike Duncan's Roman History series. Although distressing because of the seeming parellals to what's happening in the current US administration.
8/10 I'm mad cause my mistakes were on questions I *knew* the answers... but didn't think hard/long enough to get it right (the Empire maximum extension and the Flavian amphitheater)
Revisiting this as I make another installment in the Genius Level General Knowledge Multiple Choice series, and I noticed a spelling error in question #8.
