i am singaporean and i am deeply ashamed of not getting the lee kwan yew one. i feel like this is something i would have learned in social studies but apparently i didn't
7/10 didn't know I've hockey, air conditioning or fox. Funny fact: Catherine Zeta Jones was in Zorro and there was also a thief in ocean's 12 (her character's dad or the other guy) who was nicknamed the fox.
Ew, missed three in a row. I don’t know how I didnt realize that painting would be called The Kiss… I immediately thought, “Oh, he’s the guy that uses gold colours in every painting.” The I inexplicably picked the Vermeer painting. What the heck happens in my brain in the two seconds I take to pick an answer…
I saw my leaderboard and knew this was going to be a rough one...7/10....I thought 'The Kiss' was a sculpture by Rodin, don't know much about bacteris other than it took forever for my doctor to diagnose blastocytis hominus, and zorro....must be mask! But it's my birthday today and I don't care!
I was astonished to learn that plague is the name of a disease. In relation to sickness I thought it meant a contagious disease gone rampant, like an epidemic.
IQ tests absolutely don't measure knowledge, they just measure pattern recognition. You could 100% an IQ test and still not know any of the answers to these quizzes.
The plague one caught me out, I think I'm getting quicker at these though, regularly in the 900s (although not often hitting 9900s as I keep getting one wrong)
9/10. I've heard the quote that air conditioning elected Ronald Reagan, but never anything about Singapore. But more embarrassing I was momentarily looking for Klimt's Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer but of course The Kiss is more famous. D'oh.
How you people know the name of the plague bacteria is beyond me? I mean I am a slightly above average player (percentile in the 70s on average) and a biology major (first year though) yet how come 47% of you peeps know such a technical piece info?
just one of those things that comes up often enough (because the black death was so bad lol) that you eventually get to know it. you'll pick these things up from playing enough quizzes
Can't speak for everyone but I've seen it in papers I've edited a fair few times, and while most bacterial species names are extremely hard to remember, this one comes from the Latin word for plague, which is also where we get the English word "pestilence", so it's always stuck with me haha
Drat, another really fast 9/10 (8,944), but I got the Singapore one wrong. At least I was with the majority in thinking it would be the computer chip 😅
7/10. I almost said ice hockey, but I didn't. Never been to London so don't know what color their cabs are, and computer chips seemed a better answer than air conditioning.
Sometimes after reviewing the answers I honestly think to myself, WTF Bruh? Today, 6/10 but as an example, I know the color of taxis in London are black, yet I selected red.
10/10 and my best score so far. I know it can sound a very stupid question, but what does it mean "this beats or equals 100% of test takers"? I just don't see how I could get the best score for the day... Is there a daily best chart?

Also, happy birthday! Hope it was a good one!
did actually worse than that today
Zorro, Zorro, who makes the sign of the Z"
lyrics from the Disney TV series (1957)
Four years of high school Spanish didn't hurt either.
I guess this is just some ranting on my part...
Percentiles are rounded, so you are in the top 0.5%.
Had no idea on nr 9 though, interesting one.
