Well, today I finished to the south of my usual, with an 8/10.
Had no idea about Song of the South so I went for the one that sounded the most racially charged (which it turns out is from Snow White lol), and for the South Pole one I had a hunch that penguin was wrong and it would be the thing I've never heard of, but I ignored that instinct.
Hopefully will have a better performance tomorrow for the 1-year anniversary!
I am so much smarter today than yesterday after researching Q9! Went down a rabbit hole of Antarctica on birds, then animals, then effects of weather changes on the food chain in the sea....do you know how important antarctic krill is? 😮
A couple quizzes in the AM turns into an hour or so of research. Then all of a sudden I'm listening to a podcast series of whatever while gardening or sanding the hand rails on my boat....I had a educated guess a couple days ago on nucleur fusion the other day, now listening to a bunch of science podcasts on that....
9/10 ~ missed Q9 (like most of us) eyes closed swing on Q2 and made contact. I think for some reason, Q10 was an interesting fact on this site. Why? Because I knew the answer and probably otherwise shouldn't have.
1720 seemed so late for Newton, so I took a stab with Franklin. Turns out Franklin was only 14 years old, so probably had not accumulated much of a fortune.
I'm surprised that the South Pole question has such low results... it seemed obvious somehow that the penguins and seals can only survive near (non-frozen) water.
But maybe I'm not one to talk, considering I screwed up the South Lawn question...
Tomorrow is the 365th DTC!
5/10
Q6 and Q9
