8/10, fairly quick, I second guessed myself on Selma (went with the Hayek connection)...I have never watched one episode of the Simpsons....if I had I would have scads of more points on JP! Kudos to the DTC anniversary...it's cool because of it's a sort realtime-interactive & collegial nature of who's up today with the leaderboards, right? Different than the other quizzes. I use JP quizzes to learn, not to 'win' & I found many of yesterday's comments on stats disconcerting. It's taken me a couple of years to get to a level 62 and I'm a LOT more educated/informed. For folks that are up to higher levels, it's understandable that they would be getting higher % of correct answers and not 'cheating'. And taking up the footprint of comments with your stats....is a waste of the footprint😊I hope QM doesn't delete my comment
I've also never watched The Simpsons...but still pulled off a 9/10. I fell at the final hurdle, probably because that was the only question that I'd actually have to know the show for 😅
It was designed with a competitive spirit in mind.
It's as natural to want to crush the competition with your brain, as with your body. It'd be silly to remove the record-keeping at a sporting event - no difference here.
Agreed...Between the leaderboards and being able to compare my stats to others gives me enough statisfaction. That's why I try and take the quiz right when it is published (I'm in the same time zone) so I'm #1 on my board momentarity before the others come in!
Another rough day for me 4/10. I've also never watched the Simpsons, but agree you don't need to have for this quiz, so, it was just down to my not knowing today's trivia.
Got St. Barts wrong, tossup between France and Netherlands; the others were all relatively straightforward, albeit a bit slower than usual because I'm forced to use my PC for a while (phone screen got broken last night)
The only one missed is Q8, but honestly, I was like a blind squirrel looking for a nut on that one...I had NO CLUE. Took me a bit to figure out the theme, probably by the Milhous question.
Did anyone else get an unknown error message when they 1st tried to submit the quiz with only 5 right? It wouldn't submit and I had to redo, but before I could it asked me to verify that I'm human so wondering if this is a new site feature
I fairly frequently get a timeout error message when I got to finish DTC and I have to retry a few times. I think it is my poor ISP connection. I think the JP server is probably pretty sturdy.
D'oh!!!!

I only caught on to the Simpsons theme when I saw 'Milhous'
Flanders… immediately think Dutch. Then I think, hang on, Wallonia sounds kind of Dutch… I’ll go with French. Should just trust my first instinct!
