Just had to look up Epcot centre. In my life, I ve never heard of it, a Disney theme park that's been open since 1980. I'd it actually the Disney world/ Disneyland or an additional park?
I don't live in Orlando, but I've been to Disney World, and what you're referring to as Disney World is what I know as The Magic Kingdom. Disney World to me is the whole thing, including EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and the waterparks, the hotels etc. This seems to tally with what the internet says too.
But I guess people refer to The Magic Kingdom as Disney World because it was the original park?
There’s a pretty in-depth documentary about it on YouTube. Anyway, it was originally planned to actually be a futuristic city. Walt Disney was a bit of a visionary, not only in animation. Anyway, after he died, they decided to go forward with his vision and it kinda just became another park rather than a city.
Good lord, that was a lot of slow, educated guesses. Lost 90 points feeling like I knew for sure that Hebrew predates Latin but then waffling because I had no idea that Vietnamese actually has a Latin script. And don’t get me started on forests. Luckily, the rule of “pick the smallest one” for % landmass question held true. And of course I had to sing the whole last verse to ensure that I hadn’t made a tragic error on the 12 Days question… another 90 points down the drain 😂
I should have gone slow and steady like you on this one.. now I got a bad 6/10 Q6 would still have been a total guess, I would ve probably gotten q2 right and perhaps had a better educxated 50/50 on 4 and 10..
Nooo I was on for a solid 10 and didn't read the last question for long enough to realise it spells EPCOT 😭😅 Definitely one of my more egregious slip-ups, but such is the price of haste I guess haha
9/10 because I didn't stop to think about Suriname's small size, too distracted wondering how far north Canada's trees stop. Anyway, it's the Empire State *B*uilding, which is why you always abbreviate it as the ESB.
I think #2's option should say "French hen." That caused me to get it wrong, so I had to start over and amend my mistake as I was not having that seeing as there was a time I had that entire song memorized, the words and the score. That's the first and only time I've ever amended my score by refreshing the page. NGL.
Ahh yes I think that influenced me as well, if it had been french hen I would have answered differently. Just hen didn't ring a bell ( at the speed I was going). It is all a matter of how you store words/which impression they make, especially in a foreign language. Sometimes it is just a sound or feeling or vibe. Just hen did not vibe :D
Orlando ahhh I chose Oxford, so close! Got 8,888 again, that's pretty funny
