7/10 missed 3, 9 and 10. On 10 I chose QEII as she shook the hands of such a variety of people.

I was choosing between Mark Twain and Ernest Hemingway, like so many others and chose wrong. Had no idea about the state.

Similar, missed 4, 7 and 10...had a lucky guess on the movie one. I could picture the Sistine Chapel just couldn't recognize the face 🤔

Well, I have a poster of "The Creation of Adam" on my wall, so yeah.

8/10 I gave myself a big hand.

Almost had it but got #10 wrong. Thanks for nothing Nixon I'm glad you resigned.

You shouldn't bear grudges against Nixon. To me, it's all water under the gate.

That is pretty funny.....although I was in college during Watergate and I lived in San Clemente where his 'Western Whitehouse' was. In fact, a bunch of us, TP-ed his beach and were chased off by the SS....my youthful political demonstration days. And now I'm doing it all over again! 😱

9/10, missed the movie one

How do you know who Tom Thumb is, how you measure a horse of all things and who owns 'polydactyl' cats, but miss the movie one?
+2
Level 83
Jun 4, 2025
That movie is like 33 years old. It’s great, but old.
+13
Level 69
Jun 4, 2025
33 years? Wash your dirty mouth out, it came out recently.

Weeps.

+1
Level 64
Jun 4, 2025
Yeah, a 33-year-old movie is new. City Lights is an old movie.

My knowledge base revolves around history, geography, & general knowledge. All I know about pop culture is superficial.
+4
Level 74
Jun 4, 2025
Isn't pop culture itself superficial? ;-)
+2
Level 66

More people got the horse question right than the movie question, that one isn't obscure knowledge at all.
+1
Level 48
Jun 4, 2025
maybe, but it its obscure enough to measure with feet, why add hands
+1
Level 76
Oct 11, 2025
You would have to lay on your back to measure a horse in feet, much more practical to do it with hands..

The movie one was also the only one I missed. Because I didn't see any of them except for The Matrix. I didn't specifically know about the cats, but did know that Hemingway lived in Key West. And I was obssessed with horses when I was a kid. Tom Thumb is just pretty common general knowledge.

Thumb gives it way even if you dont know who he is

Only one I didn’t know was Tom Thumb… had to use deduction there. I sang The Battle of New Orleans and noticed a conspicuous lack of thumbs, and I knew Tom Thumb wasn’t one of the famous Antarctic explorers. I luckily guessed that a poet wouldn't go by General Tom Thumb.

Obviously. A poet would go by Peter Pinkie:)

Pretty slow by my standards, but I managed the 10/10 here, albeit with a few lucky guesses. Had no earthly idea about Tom Thumb (although that is the name of a bar in my city lol), and I'd be lying if I said I was confident about Sticky Fingers too. Dropped time points on a few others but those were the main two that gave me trouble.
