Wahoo! Three in a row! I happened to know all these without really any educated guesses. Still slow though… maybe I need an espresso before these daily quizzes to keep my speed up. 🤔
That was an easy one for me only got the honey badger wrong; I was choosing between that and aardvark and chose wrong.
Another 50/50 was between a) and b) on the capital city but I chose right. And on the photo (between a) and d)) but again chose right.
The Houdini question irritated me because I knew he died after being hit in the gut but thought it was because of the damage done, that he hadn't been able to get out of a tank in chains; I stuck to a) though. 😅
Currently top of my LB but wait until the big guys come out to play.
It symbolizes that we can't have happiness without also remembering our sorrows. There are a bunch of different explanations, but the core message is along those lines.
In particular, I've always been told that it represents the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.
7/10.....Haven't been to London in a long time, got the Jewish wedding mixed up with the Greeks, kept thinking mongoose and cobras, couldn't picture which answer looked like a mongoose. Aardvark seemed reasonable since they are armored. ...Oh well.....FIFA starts!
Phew, 10/10, though I wasn't quite sure if linen was made from cotton or flax. I've still got my Oyster card from 2005 though! (And I know to never mess with a honey badger)
Much better to just use (the same) bank card, then it's capped at the daily rate, you can see the transactions (unlike a visitors Oyster) and you don't have an annoying balance sitting on the Oyster card.
9/10 Houdini got me. I had been told/read that it was the chains in the ice - I honestly thought that's how it happened. Learned something new and discarded some misinformation today.
Edit: despite a 959 on nr 3! Thought I would go slow and steady to at least reach 10, but there was no need to go slow on any of the others (luckily spotted the trap on nr 6 ;) )
