btw the USSR abbreviation is in cyrillic. if you took the russian word, wrote it in latin, and then abbreviated it, it would be SSSR. The extra S is since the word meaning union is Soyuz (Cоюз). So the spacecraft means union lol.

You're right. I worded my question poorly. I should've written, "Which Cyrillic acronym represents the Soviet Union?"

Fernando Alonso cropping up everywhere bahahaha

8/10, missed the harp strings and the German word after second guessing myself. Need to stay confident!

Missed Q10 as well, only one I missed but the harp question was a wild guess.

8/10. I really should have known 15 strings wasn't enough and should have gone with "if in doubt choose"A" for Q10". The others I knew.

7/10. I thought 47 strings on a harp sounded crazy, but now that I'm picturing it sounds about right.

10/10, 9,898

Was pretty fast through most of it but dropped loads of time on the last question (974) before snapping at my hunch and getting lucky. Educated guesses on Bali (other answers too big) and the harp (other answers too small) as well.

Yeah I was very lucky with that one, I managed to rule out the Eden Project because I knew that was in England, but I very seriously considered Terraria before opting to put all my chips on Biosphere haha

10/10 two days in a row. But thank GOODNESS for an international music class in college twenty years ago that gave me a vague recollection that Bali is mostly Hindu. Skin of my teeth.

Man, I miss the tenth question so often. Cruising along with the first 9 right and then it's like WTF? I've never heard of this. And apparently my Q10 guesses are no bueno.

9/10 - missed the cyrillic question, kinda slow thinking on Q5, but made the guess that Bali is tiny. Does anyone else think the quizzes the last couple of weeks have been easier? The questions seem more mainstream. Actually, I think that there is less pop culture and more history, science, topics that we might study.

I thought most of June felt harder than usual, but the last week or so has been a fair bit more manageable

Well, I just checked and I've gotten five 10/10s in the last 10 quizzes and that is definitely not my norm. I'm usually good for 6 or 7 questions, then an educated guess might get me 8 - anything after that is luck. I looked at the 10/10s and none had what I would call 'pop' culture, like recent/current movies, video games, musicians/music, etc.

Nr 7 was a stupid mistake, I actually knew there were more than 15 strings. And guessed incorrectly on 4, 6 and 10.. Not a great round (not horrible though, well.. below 50% of the takers so maybe it is haha)
