I mean, humans absolutely are predators. We may not go out and hunt as much anymore, but historically we did, and we’ve learned to eat just about every species on this planet.
I knew they definitely didn't sleep between 8 and 8, since I have hardly ever seen one sleeping (did not grow up in the countryside, but they are everywhere here, you can always reach a cow within 10 minutes I think haha). Did not think it was 8 hours but could not bring myself to press 4 it seemed so low. If there was a 5 or a 6 I would have gone for that.
"The countries with the largest cattle populations are India, Brazil, and China. In 2023, India had the largest cattle inventory with 307.5 million head, followed by Brazil with 194.4 million, and China with 101.5 million."
same here...I should have known the hours slept because they are similar to horses who hardly sleep. It's what the QM referred to, prey animals hardly sleep
Had the question right but I had another reasoning viz.I rather reasoned cattle eat grass which is hard to digest so they have to feed all the time with thus little time to sleep.Whilst predators once they have caught a prey have a lot of proteins in etc in one time after which they can afford to sleep a lot , for days even, until they get hungry again and will have to search for a next prey.
9/10 for me today, pretty solid on the ones I got right, but wasn't sure if cows slept more or less than us, so I was torn between 4 and 12 but guessed wrong.
In hindsight, QM's comment about prey animals sleeping less makes so much sense though! Alas, I did not think of that 😂
True, much like lions and hyenas will eat one another opportunistically, but that has no bearing on their overall role in the food chain. They're still fundamentally predators.
I grew up in a small village, I often saw cows laying around, never checked if they were asleep or not, and trust, at night, I'm sleeping, I'm not gonna go check how long they sleep XD
So bad for this Taurean today (6/10). But the bogan option gave me a smile (bogan is an Australian term for the great unwashed, like chav in the UK, or trailer trash in the US).
Loved the theme so I went too fast and missed some obvious ones I knew. But at least I knew Holsteins and Aurochs without guessing, and I remembered my 1st grade "Don't have a cow, man!" t-shirt1

Just my two cents

Guessed Friesian before looking at the answers but was baffled when it wasn't there. Never heard them called a Holstein 🤪
