There is a fantastic book out about Rudolph Diesel by Douglas Brunt titled "The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel". I have to admit, i knew nothing about him, but his story - and his disappearance - make for a great read!
I missed kleptocracy because I read the options from the bottom up and chose wealthy. Awfully fine line on that one… kleptocracy is rule by people who use their power to steal/use the wealth of the nation for themselves. Thieves is a better answer, but didn’t even read it.
Managed the 10/10 today with a relatively hesitant 9,868, but the difficult questions are still at large it seems! Nearly made a few mistakes here, and I was a little paranoid so I took my time with them - especially Diesel and iconoclasts, both of which I thought seemed maybe too obvious at first 😅 The Bermuda one was difficult too, island locations are my weakest spot when it comes to geography (need to remember to revisit those quizzes and practice lol)
The Bhutan one is just one of those bits of trivia I happened to know, but yeah Bermuda was a tricky one haha; my reasoning was that it's the only one that isn't in the Caribbean, so it's probably a bit to the north (and east lol)
Also, nicely done on the score today, just noticed! 🎉
"The Haber process is an industrial method for producing ammonia (NH3) from nitrogen (N2) and hydrogen (H2) gases. This process is crucial for producing fertilizers and explosives and is named after German chemist Fritz Haber, who developed it. The process involves reacting nitrogen and hydrogen at high pressure and temperature in the presence of an iron catalyst."
Chose Bahamas over Bermuda.
And picked North Korea.
