"The Great Train Robbers managed to steal over £70 million in today's money. Since none of them had a time machine, historians can't work out how they were able to steal today's money."
Another 7/10. Have no idea about Black Jack, chose poorly on the DNA question - in retrospect it should have been obvious with "mi" in the word, and picked Slumdog Millionaire as I knew it didn't cost much and made a lot of money but obviously not in as extreme way as the Blair Witch Project.
I thought Spanish Civil War might be a trick, but went for it anyway since Picasso is Spanish.
10/10, 9,903, back on target, just about 😁 Today's questions were a lot nicer for me, the only ones that cost me significant time were the Blair Witch Project and the legendary dynamite plot
I tend to agree with the points made above regarding dynamite. I got it because the others didn't make sense. However, including dynamite as a choice could be construed as a trick to make someone who knows that dynamite wasn't invented yet to guess incorrectly.
Totally biffed the facial hair question. Morning brain fog and pointsmaxxing rush had me sure Freud sported a goatee.
I mean, obviously it was Lenin. But I just poured over 100s of pics of Freud *analyzing* his facial hair. Well, he did often keep the sides much shorter in his older years or that hair was a slightly different shade to his mustache and chin, but the man indeed had a full beard for his entire adult life.
Started with me making a dumb error on Q1 which threw me a little off balance, but apparently not enough to get anything else wrong.
Despite the obvious dynamite/gunpowder error in the wording of Q3 giving it another hard shove... (I was calmed there by the confidence that others would undoubtedly already address it in the comments - happy to see that confidence was well founded :-) )
I agree.......it's a trick question! We know dynamite wasn't invented! We know Fawkes attacked parliament, did he maybe also make an attack on the Queen? Was he trying to steal the crowns jewels? Eh, QM is giving a double-blind, don't fall for it!
8/10. Honestly the only reason I knew the blue roofs question is because I knew that Santorini was the inspiration for the Overwatch map "Ilios." For once my video game knowledge was useful in trivia...
One of the easiest quizzes on here yet. Little bit too easy. What was the theme here exactly? Also needs more specialized knowledge and confusing/detractors in among the other multiple choices (Islas Malvinas was the only one).
Dynamite was invented in 1867, over quarter millenia after Guy Fawkes.

ETA: I see Rob603 got there first.
Still a nice 9/10
Atm it is 76% for 8,871 (at 7AM UTC)

9/10
Funny thing, in the first five days of September I got all the scores from 6 to 10 once each.
Hoping not to collect 1-5 during next five days...
