Tangential, but I recently watched a Hank Green video after like 10 years of not watching any.
I remember having liked the fast pacing before.
But it seems to have gotten much faster, in an annoying way.
He seems to be clipping the videos into 2 second segments to make it feel like something is happening, when it's actually just him talking. I'm sure this is very A/B tested, but it was definitely offputting.
He has to appeal to the shorter attention span that most of his viewers now have. It's an unfortunate new meta in online video production, regardless of platform.
Interestingly my scores over time have settled on a normal distribution with the percentages for 10, 9, 8, 7 and 6 being 11%, 23%, 28%, 23% and 11% respectively.
Painkiller question is a tad deceptive considering ibuprofen can cause liver damage with a sustained period of standard dosage to my knowledge at least?
The question is written in a very specific way. The correct answer is Tylenol. It is much more dangerous to your liver than Ibuprofen. Seriously, be careful with Tylenol, especially if you consume alcohol.
Terrible incident in Bhopal causing thousands of deaths :( due to leaked toxic gas... company was aware of it but did not fix. Thanks for helping people remember.
In college (mid-70s) I took a class 'Economics of Environmenta Protection'. Bottom line, follow the money....the cost of protecting the environment is more expensive than paying the costs of polluted water, air, oceans. Pay the penalities, deal with lawsuits, etc. Oh, and global warming is a sham, did you hear?
I vaguely knew there were attacks on the transit systems of all the cities but forgot which one was a gas attack. Picked Madrid instead of Tokyo but I think they was a bombing.
I didnt expect the Paracetamol answer. My mother always warned me when I asked for ibuprofen, "are you sure you want to do that? you better take paracetamol, you can get ulcers from ibuprofen (or something, stomach bleeds), it is dangerous to take ibuprofen". Paracetamol does nothing for me, ibuprofen doesn't either actually but still had some hopes for it back then because it did at least one time (when it was that time of the month). And it is what was prescribed when wisdom tooth are removed, so I figured it was stronger. Naproxen also does nothing for me, Some times I think this whole painkiller business is a scam like rejuvenating cream or whatever historical snake-oil, miracle water. But apparently the things do work for other people *shrug*. Only thing that ever did something was tramadol. (but only briefly)

I guess I could have guessed the ones I got wrong correct if I spent more time (but 7,943 is worth it?).
I missed 8 and 9...
I got 10/10...HOW? 🤣
Never thought I would do it in a jetpunk daily quiz but oh well.
We don't talk about the other 4%...
Didn't know about Gila monster venom.
Happy Friday
