Ah, Truman slowed me down. I got the Dawes Plan confused with the Marshall Plan.

Level 78

Now that's humblebragging. But anyone who knows what the Dawes Plan was is entitled to boast about it.

Hmm. Perhaps, but then I do teach about various economic plans the USA had to rebuild Europe and they all are named Boring-old-white-man-surname Plan.

I seriously went to pick Woodrow Wilson or Harding though and didn’t see them and got confused for a bit.

My process was easier: the Marshall Plan was after the war, Roosevelt died during the war, Truman became president, ordered the bombing so it had to be him. El Salvador took the longest for me - however I figured the more under developed market economies were the first to get into crypto.

The second law of thermodynamics slowed me WAY down.

It does tend to do that, heat death and all ...

Whew, had to guess on that last one, I'm not really a poetry person 😅

And yet you knew the name of David Beckam’s wife!

I didn’t and wasn’t as lucky with my guess 😂

Funnily enough I learnt that one in a recent pub quiz, which is actually great practice for the DTC
+4
Level 27

Breaking Bad lore was my saving grace for that question!

+3
Level 64

15% of people thought Quiet is an anagram of Silent. The mistakes we make when under time pressure!
+3
Level 52
Nov 10, 2025
Presumably most of them got anagram and synonym mixed up, rather than thinking quiet was an anagram of silent.
+2
Level 49
Nov 10, 2025
And 1% thought dark. It’s not a synonym or an anagram! What were they thinking?
+2

Managed the 10/10, 9,921. Entropy was a bit of an educated guess, and I almost fell for the trap of Roosevelt over Truman, but the rest were fairly straightforward today

10/10 These recent DTC seem easier because they are more general knowledge. I had to slow down on 6 but an underdeveloped country seemed more likely to get into Bitcoin. Same on Q9, I sort of know that chaos/disorder is part of a closed system, something along those lines. So went with the opposite of 'organization'. Surprised that Q5 tripped up folks.....Roosevelt died during WWII, leaving Truman as President and he authorized the bombing of Japan, Since the Marshall Plan came at the end of WWII pretty easy thought process.

If you know your American presidents...

True, but I would think that WWI/WWII history would be taught in Europe curriculums? And items like the Versailles Treaty and the Marshall Plan were impactful. And the Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam conferences...much more Europe-centric than US

8/10. Didn't know which country for Bitcoin, and didn't know the thermodynamics one. I knew it wasn't energy, but after that, just no clue.

Arrgh, missed on crypto for 9/10. Should have guessed third world money shenanigans vs. Singapore where probably more controls in place. Maybe next time.

David Beckham was recently knighted by His Majesty King Charles Ill, so should be referred to as Sir David Beckham. His wife Victoria was of course one of the Spice Girls, and was nicknamed Posh Spice.

No Swiss-related answer options for the second question? Like the Swiss head of state (or federal council I guess?) or the President. Great opportunity to trick some folks there
