3% of people thought that Liz Truss (the lettuce) served as head of their country's government for the longest period of time. Are any of them prepared to own up?
I just had a weird thing...I took the quiz but when I went to 'Finish quiz' I got the error message. Responded 'okay' then hit finish again, got the error again. I have really crummy internet, but I tried twice more. Then I refreshed thinking to take the quiz again except it showed that I attempted four times. Never got the normal message when you finish a quiz. Anybody else get this?
GlassMonkeyCode had the same thing. Maybe quizmaster will catch the comments. He's on the US West Coast (as I am), so it's just coming up to 4 AM. I grabbed my error logs but my guess it's a server/network issue not something with our own machines. The site was impacted with the Cloudflare outage the other day, maybe it's them again.
Some tricky ones for me today, Patek Philippe in particular was a complete shot in the dark, never heard of them, and I don't (or can't 😅) buy any of those things so I couldn't even rule any out haha; Merkel and carbonara took me some thought too, but I was more confident about those ones. Ended up with 9,858.
I like to order a Montepulciano only because I like to say it....like Bonafacio (not wine, just a lovely little historical pirates hideout in Corsica & another fun word)
First time I ever tried champagne was on my 18th birthday, my dad had bought a bottle the day I was born and saved it. I remember taking that first sip and immediately wondering why anybody would ever willingly drink it XD
It would be cool if in the end there was a lil bit more information, like in this case where is the Bay of Fundy or how many years Merkel was the head of government.
In Canada, it's amazing....where my boat is docked a 'big' tide would be a 9' foot rise/fall. Bay of Fundy is 50' largest tide changes in the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC6m2KNpcto
"A review of the history of carbonara's appearance in cookbooks and other forms of media (see above) supports a post-World War II origin of this dish after the Allied liberation of Rome in 1944.[18] This is the opinion of Food writer Alan Davidson, food blogger and historian Luca Cesari, and historian Eleonora Cozzella. Multiple sources support that Allied personnel enjoyed the dish[18] and played a role in its genesis by providing abundant ingredients such as bacon and cheese.[23]"
Many Italian dishes are much newer than people think.
Today I guessed perfume instead of watches. Obvious? Not sure
