Yeah, thinking of Abe confused me here. I remember that he was in office very long and that he was shot, so I thought it's maybe not many former prime ministers being alive. But the recent change was not due to death, so I could exclude the answer "None". However, I somehow assumed that in Japanese culture elder people are more respected, making it plausible that rather old men are elected prime minister, so they might be all dead except few. Was hesitating between answer "1" and "4" and finally decided for "1". Well, wouldn't really make a difference, because both were wrong.
A bit sad, as I had the 9 questions before correct.
I knew the Cyprus one from a visit a few years ago, but thought it was super easy, because it has been on the news few days ago when some Iranian missile or drone hit the British base "Akrotiri" on Cyprus. (They have two bases there.)
6/10 didn't know poker, Finns (seriously considered if that's was the introduction of the Molotov cocktail but went for harpoons instead), song (knew the song, but no idea who sang it) or prime minister questions.
9/10.....So annoying when you bomb on Q10...I figured the PMs stayed in office until they were very old...only reason I knew Q9 cuz of following the carrothead's attack on Iran.
8/10, had no idea about the Japanese prime ministers, but should have done better on the Polish dumplings question, I always get pierogi and paczki mixed up 😅
Japan goes through PMs like tissue paper. I don't much care for politicians being in office for a long period of time, but they're also a good example of how bad it is politically and economically to have constantly rotating leadership.
A few years ago, i was researching a topic, and the local university had an article i wanted to read, but it was on microfiche. After the student librarian showed me where it was kept, i showed him how to set up and use the equipment.
Tell me you're Gen X without telling me you are Gen X.
Yeah, I thought everyone used microfiche all the time, and I'm just now realizing Millennials and younger have been denied this in their short lives. Yet another way Gen X is best. :)
I'm a millennial. I remember learning about and using microfiche in elementary and middle school, and I later became much more familiar with it working in a library reference department as an adult. You're probably right that not many kids these days are familiar with it, though.
Also, Japan is famousfor people getting very old..

Seriously, I'm impressed you know it. It was one of those tools my gen had to use. I'm surprised it was still around for your generation.
