You go with the Catholic answer......all the odd foods (allowed or not) are usually around Lent/Easter...Valentine's Day is a made-up day by Hallmark cards...
Wow, totally random guess on the Solidarity. Maybe I came across his name when teaching History, but searching my brain gave me absolutely nothing other than what felt like a random guess. 😂
9/10, second best score so far from me. Got all except the Donald question. Surprised I got so many about Poland of all places, completely guessed the Solidarity question.
kind of yeah :D traditionally almost the whole week before Ash Wednesday is the time where people can party and eat all they want. we call it "ostatki" in Polish (loosely translated to "last days", as "ostatni" means last; i believe it's called Shrovetide in English), so on the weekend following Fat Thursday many people would organise parties etc. then Tuesday is a day when you would start saying hello to lent, in my region it's called "podkoziołek"
I have a joke I made up about 40 years ago.....What's a Polish yacht?......a JETSKI! Still makes me crack up..10/10 took it low & slow, aurochs were really big & zebu's look really weird
4/10 which is probably my worst score ever. I say it's time for Waldemar Januszczak to get his Adventures in Poland series up on YouTube so we can finally watch it in America! If you're here, Waldy, do it!
Before this test if you asked me how much I know about Poland or Polish people, I'd cover my best friends ears and say literally nothing. But I beat (or equalled) 62% of the rest of y'all!
(Although on Q4, I hesitated a bit and lost a lot of time.)
Just kidding. But I still botched #1 :D
