Not too long ago, the Black Sea was an inland sea that wasn't connected to the Mediterranean. Around 7500 years ago, water from the Mediterranean spilled into the Black Sea, causing it to nearly double in size. Some people think this massive flood took place in less than a single year. If so, it might have inspired the legend of Noah's flood.

I'm irrationally proud of my own low heart rate. I gave blood recently and was measured to have a resting heart rate of 44. They almost didn't let me donate.

I do agree that to a secularist such as you, a Christian quoting the Bible and expecting you to believe it seems like insanity. Apologies.

I believe that Christians believe that God had a hand in writing the Bible. They call it divine inspiration or something like that. They say that Gods direct word was generated through the writers of the Bible.

As a former Christian, I can tell you that the faithful vociferously disagree on this point. Some say that "divinely inspired" means that god "guided the pen," meaning the human writer merely took god's dictation; the result being a word for word transcription of god's intent. Others insist the inspiration is more "vision-based" and general in nature.

As a Christian, no secularist believes in the authority of the Bible. God may not lie but these people here will still think you're joking. Don't just throw the Bible at people.
