In 1838, the governor of Missouri signed an executive order which said "the Mormons must be treated as enemies, and must be exterminated or driven from the state if necessary for the public peace". Although there is no evidence of any Mormons being killed as a result of this order, over 15,000 were forced to flee to Illinois.

Regarding #925, we all know that tons of people die while waiting for kidney transplants. What you might not know is that it's illegal to sell your kidney. This rule has some good intentions, but it kills hundreds of people each year.

How to fix it? We don't want people to donate kidneys out of desperation. But you know who's not desperate? People who think they will benefit from $100,000 in tax credits.

By giving healthy people a "nudge" to donate their kidneys we can save lives and it will save the government billions. That's because the U.S. government actually pays for dialysis for anyone who needs it. This is 1% (and growing) percentage of the multi-trillion U.S. budget.

Change the law, save lives.

M&Ms stands for Mars and Murrie. It's named after Forrest Mars, the son of Frank Mars (inventor of Milky Way, Snickers, and Three Musketeers), and Bruce Murrie, son of the President of Hershey's. Together these two created the now-iconic candy brand.

Also, not to be that guy, but I'm pretty sure I came up with fact #921. Idrc but just wanted to put that out there.

#922 There is evidence that the Hawn's mill massacre of October 30th 1938 was a result of the executive order signed on October 27th. The evidence is Hyrum Smith's record in the church archives that the order to attack the mill came from Governor Boggs to Colonel Ashley to Captain Comstock. At least some historians have disputed this. So evidence yes, certainty no.

Would people that pay more than 100,000 dollars in taxes donate a kidney? If you are that well off, would you really risk living less for a mere sum of money? I understand it has the best of intentions, but I just don´t see it being effective

It's the government--it will not work as planned. Paperwork will kill the process.
