Regarding #1108, color me skeptical. In the absence of better evidence, I'd say it's more likely that Adolphe Sax was a fabulist.

Hey guys, I learnt that a group of butterflies are called a kaleidoscope, of crows is a murder | conspiracy | unkindness, of geese a gaggle, of foxes a skull, of fish a school, of ferrets a business, a kindle of kittens, a bike of bees, a murmuration of starlings, a shrewdness of apes, a walk of snails and a crash of rhinos.

There are also these collective nouns: A doctrine of doctors, a disworship of scotts, a aboninable sight of monks, a melody of harpers, a superfluity of nuns, a gaggle of women, a school of clerks, a lie of friers, a ausense of waiters, a non-patience of wives, a throne of barons, and an eloquence of lawyers.

Those collective nouns were collected from The Book of St Albans, of the "Companys of Beestys and Fowlys" section.
