Despite the Amish having an obesity rate of 4%, I wouldn't call them 'extremely thin'.

Almost no cities on it. Near the sea it's too big and away from the sea it's too remote.

Manaus comes very close though, with a bridge just a couple of kilometres away crossing the Rio Negro tributary.

Imaging having a team building event near the Amazon's source (where it's narrow enough), in which you compete to build a toothpick-and-marshmallow bridge across it. Whoever wins literally can claim they built the biggest bridge across the worlds largest river!

There is very little stable ground in which to anchor a bridge. It wouldn't be long before the bridge was washed away by the immense flow of the river.

The difference between the pig and the dog is that the pig is a gourmet, and is motivated by desire. The pig will choose the superior truffles.
