I read that speaking in front of a crowd is the number-one fear in America. I found that amazing. Number two was death. Number two! That means that, if you're ever at a funeral, you'd rather be in the casket than giving the eulogy.

Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.

The attempt to make heaven on earth invariably produces hell.

Always remember that it is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood: there will always be some who misunderstands you.

People tend to overestimate what can be done in one year and to underestimate what can be done in ten years.
but then after the hard times there will be good times, and we will reach the better parts of the cycle, but when the next hard times come they might not be as bad because the good times lessen the impact hopefully
You don’t know what hard times are, daddy. Hard times are when the textile workers around this country are out of work, they got 4 or 5 kids and can’t pay their wages, can’t buy their food. Hard times are when the auto workers are out of work and they tell ‘em, "Go home". And hard times are when a man has worked at a job for thirty years—thirty years—and they give him a watch, kick him in the butt and say, “Hey a computer took your place, daddy”, that’s hard times! That’s hard times.
I am PRAYING you're joking. Even if this cycle existed, I don't think it makes sense to assume even just the United States would all be in the same part of this cycle of the same time. Whatever one's beliefs are, different places are getting better and worse at the same time.
It seems self-evident that men are not the ones we should put our hopes in. Maybe women and non-binary people should take over these tasks, that men are obviously incapable of.
I am not saying men in the sense of the male sex are intellectually inferior (this should have been clear, since I specifically mentioned non-binary people as also being part of the more capable group, non-binary being only a gender), but that individuals with the socialised gender 'man' have an undeniable tendency to find madcap brutal solutions to complex problems which in fact afford an informed holistic approach that does more than symptom treatment and exertion of violence. And to these mature and ethically informed decisions by socialisation women and non-binary people are more capable of.
#51 is just failure to properly analyse responses, or set up the research properly. If it's open answer, you're more likely to mention something you've experienced. And it's also not ranked. Maybe more people are somewhat afraid of public speaking but fewer are very afraid of dying.
Similarly I've seen a "research" (some magazine I guess) about what women hate most about men and not putting down toilet seat or something like that came first. I'm pretty sure they'd mind even more getting beaten up every day, but fortunately that's not the first thing that comes to mind for most.
"the attempt to make heaven on earth invariably produces hell. It leads to intolerance. It leads to religious wars, and to the saving of souls through the inquisition. And it is, I believe, based on a complete misunderstanding of our moral duties. It is our duty to help those who need help; but it cannot be our duty to make others happy, since this does not depend on us, and since it would only too often mean intruding on the privacy of those towards whom we have such amiable intentions."
Here is a good quote. No one has it the worst, no one has it the best. Most certainly, some people are luckier than others, but everybody has better, and worse, in different ways. If a poor but loved man met up with a rich and hated man, who would you consider that has it worst.
