Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.
- Voltaire, paraphrased

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace – and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.
- From the movie "The Third Man"

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
The quote in #83 was adlibbed by Orson Welles. If you haven't seen it, the Third Man is one of the best movies ever made and scenes from it have been intentionally or unintentionally copied by movies ever since.
What a shame that the quote is actually false, cuckoo clocks are originally from the Black Forest. Also, it would be wrong to say that Switzerland's history has only produced cuckoo clocks. After all, let's not forget that Switzerland is one of the wealthiest countries in the world.
"A man with a watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure" - known as Segal's law, falsely attributed to Lee Segall, actually coined by the San Diego Union Tribune
#84 - I often hear people say that they are surprised something didn't work because "It was good in theory." If your theory said something should happen, and it didn't, your theory is by definition not good. A theory is only as good as the reality it predicts.
It's strange, I feel like the second movie had the joker in it because the first one had a teaser for him. I feel like the first movie villain was the riddler or someone for some reason. I can see why there was a mistake there, even though I know I'm wrong
The antagonist in the first movie in the Dark Knight trilogy, Batman Begins, was the League of Shadows, with other villains being Falcone and Scarecrow. The second movie, The Dark Knight, had the Joker, and Two-Face briefly. The quote in question was first spoken by Harvey Dent at the beginning of the movie and again by Batman at the end.
