First, of course, having a quiz daily routine was super fun. I don't need such a thing to visit my favourite website each day but I like the idea of having something to learn every day about a wide and interesting subject.
Then, I like the exhaustivity of such a list. 196/198 is a good number. It covers more than half of the year and you know that it will end one day. Such a series about cities, for example, would surely be very interesting, but it would be I think less satisfying without a true clear end.
I was wondering if some other JetPunkers were thinking the same about that. And if you had ideas of series which could be used for such a thing if it happened again in the future. Countries by Picture, Countries True or False? or even Countries that Beat quiz series of course come first to my mind, but I guess there are plenty of other possibilitiies.
Also, I think it could also be differently shaped, with for example every week a day full of quizzes on a specific country on the frontpage, with as you say for example country by picture, the already-made country quizzes, biggest cities by country... It could last longer but, on the other side I think there wouldn't be 196 countries to represent here (how are you supposed to find 5 quizzes that could be featured about Nauru? please baptiste don't answer me)
An alternative with cities could be "Which City in [Country]?". But yeah, with cities, not all countries would be possible, sure.
Btw Country that beat is not my cup of tea -no offense 😅
Countries by Picture would imho be the most relevant option, yeah.
Although I'm not sure how much people would love day 200: Chittagong.
In 2022, we featured a different "holiday" every day for the whole year.
Cities could be cool as well. Of course it would last less time but it would be great too!
With a six-month series, and quizzes 5 days a week => about 130 quizzes.
Series such as "City quizzes", "Capital City Trivia" or "City by Picture" could be suitable, with enough diversity without falling into redundancy or far-fetched things.
I also agree with the point you bring up about length. Just around 200 or so is a nice length that doesn't feel too incredibly long
Yeah, that's a length I like too. I remember that some users were a little bit bored at the very end of the country series but overall I think that's a great experiment.
