Automatically Granted Answers?

I've seen some quizzes with answers (usually border cases) granted by default. I'm hoping to add one of these to one of my quizzes, but I'm not sure how this is formatted. Any guidance from more experienced quiz-makers would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

If you’re talking about something like how The Ruhr is already filled in on a quiz and greyed out, just add a row to your table on the Design page, type the answer, and change the cell colour to grey

This is what I was thinking of. I'll try that, but--to clarify--does changing the cell colour trigger the system to display the answer automatically?

No. For this you'll have to change the editor to manual mode in Step 4, then select the cell and change the type from "answer" to "text", then write in your desired text. Finally, change the cell background to grey.

You will just make it a text cell. Those greyed out answers don’t give you a point, but they just show an answer.

1. Delete the answer and hint on the Answers page.

2. Go to the Design page and change the design from Auto to Manual.

3. Add a row to the table in the place you want it. You should have a “Text” cell in the hint and answer column (cells on the design page are text, hint, or answer).

4. Click on your manually made cells and manually write the information (e.g. The Ruhr). This is just text that doesn’t change or do anything.

5. Change the colour of that row to grey or whatever to indicate that it’s been given to the player because it’s a border case.
