Changes to the world map in 2026?

It's been yet another year with no major changes to the world map. We've seen some minor border adjustments and agreements to do things in the future, but nothing really exceptional.

What do y'all foresee happening in 2026? For one, it looks like the BIOT might finally be transferred over to Mauritius.

I also see the comments becoming very centered around a very debated piece of land in the Middle East

I think if Bougainville keeps it up, they could be the next ~~big~~ hit on the stage. Maybe not very rich, although you never know.

Nothing ever happens, but IMO the thing which is most likely to happen is a peace settlement in which Russia gets part of Ukraine.

If it happens, neither country would relinquish their claim on the land imo, so I doubt actual maps would change
