Content not available....

On some picture quizzes, I cannot see the pictures, instead there is a "Content not available in your region" notice. I'm not the only one, I've seen messages to that effect.

Is this just the UK, (We recently had a new law about adult content and registering your age before viewing certain content) or is it that those quizzes used images from different sources.

Or is it a programming problem ?

Anyone else have this?

I did read that Imgur (photo hosting site) have decided to just block content going to the UK rather than set up a age verification system, maybe this is the problem?

I can see them (WV, USA). It may have something to do with the device that you are on or maybe the Internet that you use

I'm using a PC, the same as I've always used, and the same internet provider, it only appears to be a small number of quizzes, and it is not just me.

I've done a little more checking, and it appears that this series by KoljiVriVoda...

All the featured quizzes are OK, but the non-featured have the problem.

It's bad practice to rely on outside sites to host images for JetPunk quizzes.

The quiz should be remade using our Picture Quiz format.

Not my quizzes QM, just noticed the problem when taking a few unfeatured quizzes.

Is it a problem that is caused by the UK's draconian internet rules?

That's fair enough.

Strange that only non-featured quizzes are affected though, or is it the case that when a quiz is featured it is changed to "official" formatting?

If a quiz has problems, we fix it before featuring. It takes a lot of work.

I thought that was what happened, it's much appreciated. It's rare that a featured quiz has issues.

I try to rely on Wikipedia, but sometimes Wikipedia doesn't have the stuff I am looking for.

Pixabay and Wikipedia are good, but sometimes you do want something more specific.

What if you just screenshot the picture and put it in your quiz?

Should work, because you're not using a photo host, a lot of the pics in some of my blogs are screenshots.
