Luke Skywalker is the protagonist of the 1977 Star Wars original trilogy, where he, along with the Princess Leia Organa and Han Solo, tries to destroy the Death Star and stop the Empire, ruled by the Emperor Palpatine and the Sith Lord Darth Vader.
They are helped by an old Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who knew the father of Luke.
Later on, Luke destroyed the Death Star and became a member of the Rebellion. Then Luke find Yoda in Dagobah who teaches him Jedi Arts. At the end of the story, he learns that Darth Vader is his father, and that Leia is his sister. He then pushes Vader to the Light Side of the Force. Palpatine then attacks Luke but is killed by Vader, who dies just after. The Second Death Star is then destroyed. In episode 8, Luke is said to have tried to kill Ben Solo, the son of Han and Leia, because he sensed the Dark Side in him. He then dies alone in the island of Ahch-To.
