If you live in the States, your clocks should be going forward this weekend. If you're in Europe, it's still a few weeks away - but we're getting close nonetheless.
Last year, I happened to be in the UK when they started daylight saving. I found that I kept waking up early and couldn't fall asleep again after the transition. But that might just be me, considering it was the first time I switched from standard time to daylight saving with a country that observes it.
What do you usually experience when the clocks go forward every year? Do you experience anything unusual?
But this whole Spring forward Fall back business is confusing, even if the only way it affects me is when connecting to people in countries that do this!
I still remember getting confused by the ever-changing time differences between China and UK/US when I didn't know anything about daylight saving time.
In the US it's from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, almost 8 months
In Europe it's from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October, about 7 months
I was screaming to my mum, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE TIME CHANGES?!"
But I was caught out on the day that daylight savings obviously started, because I didn't realise that 2pm was still the day before and that it reset at 3pm - so I lost my streak.
FTR we don't have daylight savings where I am and I am very glad. It's so hot here in summer that it's sweet relief when the sun starts setting at 6pm and it cools down a bit.
When I started being active on this site it was 2PM when the site reset and I always had new quizzes to take during class, a new dtc and more...
Everytime there was daylight saving I got very confused
(When I was in China which is UTC+8 the Front Page reset at 12 noon or 1 PM depending on whether daylight saving is active in the US)
