It might be just me, but it feels like time has literally been flying since the onset of COVID in 2020. Look at it: with the year 2025 ending, we're already more than halfway through the 2020s! It seems to me that hardly any time has passed since 2020, and the year 2019 still feels very much like "yesterday" or "last year".
Do you feel the same, and any ideas as to what's causing it?
When you're online, either gaming, schooling or scrolling, the days blur into one and you have less distinct memories to actually fallback on. Therefore it feels like time is going by fast.
Pre-pandemic most people were going to school or work everyday, they had activities on at the evenings, at the weekends, they'd have more time with friends in person. All of these contribute to differing memories to reflect back upon, making time feel slower.

But Merry Christmas still. We've celebrated like 5 Christmases without knowing it. Actually crazy when you think about it.
When you're 10 a year is 10% of your life so far.
But when you reach 50, then a year is only 2% of your life.
The older you get the smaller the percentage making time appear to pass quicker.
I currently travel through time at the speed of the Shinkansen.
And so, like people are saying, we ought to enjoy our moments with friends and family. We ought to enjoy the tiny details of our lives instead of trying to live for the future or work towards the next step, dreading what we are currently doing.
For that reason, the time I do spend on JetPunk, I want to build community and build each other up. I will admit sometimes I get frustrated at things, so if anyone else feels like I haven't done that, I am sorry.
