I know in some post-Soviet states, people drink hot tea with raspberry to reduce high fever, then sweat out it. Also drink tea with honey against cold throats.
Mint or chamomile tea, mineral water and raw bread if I feel nausea.
With cough, cold and runny nose, I simply endure until the symptoms fade away. Spoonful of olive oil, hot tea (mallow, mint, salvia) and a glass of water might ease the coarse throat, but I don't think there is an instant remedy for that.
To add to this, mix a smidge of black pepper into the turmeric. It multiplies the anti-inflammation benefits tenfold, I can’t explain the science behind it but it works. When I was sick with it last year, green tea with honey, ginger, black pepper, and turmeric was the only thing keeping me somewhat functional. Get well soon!
I had the flu recently. I hated it, I stayed in bed for nearly 2 weeks and once I finally got up, I could barely stand without falling down because my legs were so weak.

2 or 3 of them whilst wrapped up warm, then into bed with an extra blanket, I usually wake up cold free.
