In 2020 My dad told me about the countries of the world quiz so then i went on and off the site for some time then quit in 2021 then came back in 2025 and made an account
When i was in third grade or something, my brother was in fifth grade and he had a geography competition with his class and he spent his time practicing with seterra. So i joined in because why not
And then covid came so i did that more
And then it went away but years later, while in the school library, i was bored so i took a computer, and searched up these kind of things, and landed on jetpunk, and every time id play the countries starting with (a, b, c…) and eventually i started doing other quizzes at home too and then i moved to france so i didnt really have any friends so i created an account and started using it a lot while also creating quizzes
I was in science class, learning the first 20 elements of the periodic table, and the teacher gave my class some revision websites.
I guess after acing it (and being thankful I didn't need to spell 'beryllium' properly), the 'Congrats, You are now on Level 2!' thing showed up, and I got interested in this site.
I'm not sure whether I made the account right away, but some time around that, I was bored, and looked at what my brother was doing - JetPunk. So I created an account some-time then
I'll probably add my own now, an undisclosed amount of time ago when I was in [year level redacted], I started learning geography after watching JSAG and used the website he used...which was Sp*rcle, but an undisclosed amount of time later I tried to access the website on a school laptop but it was blocked, so I switched to Jetpunk. Then my close friends all nagged me to make a Jetpunk account since I was constantly using it and after a bit of back and forth BOOM here I am
Back in September 2024, I had watched somebody do all the Counties of the US. I took note of what website he used and went to it. The website appeared to be JetPunk. I played on it without an account for a few days then basically quit. It wasn't until October 21, 2024 that I had saw JackSucksAtGeography try to name all of the flags of US States and I was like "Yes, I Want It" and the next day I created the account PontiacLover (Now shortened to Pontiac).
I was almost drawn away from JetPunk because before I was a Seterra player (it became blocked on my computer so I had to look for alternatives) and on Seterra there was no time limit and I hated the time limit on the Countries of the World. It took a while but I started to stop taking quizzes untimed and I was hooked.
And that is how I spent the last year of my life (Also I just realized my account is 1 year old 2 days ago)
I randomly found people doing Countries of the world quiz on YouTube and decided to take it myself (I remember the exact date - January 5th 2021). Shortly afterwards I learned that the official capitals of Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Marshall Islands, Palau and Tuvalu aren't what I've remembered from atlases any more (Yangon/Rangoon, Colombo, Dalap-Uliga-Darut, Koror and Fongafole, namely), and got hooked.
Back in 2016 I decided I wanted to learn all the countries of the world cause I thought it would impress my friends at school. I started out on Sporcle but I didn't find the map visually appealing there so after a few weeks I found JetPunk's version which I thought was way more aesthetically pleasing, so I stuck with it. Eventually I got tired of getting the level up notification whenever I completed the quiz so I decided to make an account.
Way back in the mists of time, well 2015, my eyes were being assaulted by the orange glow of Spor**e. To save my sight I googled "Sites similar to Spor**e, that aren't orange" or something like that.
One of the suggestions was JetPunk, and I thought to myself, "That's a catchy name".
After a few weeks, I found myself coming back to JP again and again, so I made an account.
I was a geography nerd randomly wanting to know about the Country Similarity Index for some reason. When I looked it up, there were two sites. One site was an informational site and the other was JetPunk. The first site wasn't loading, so I tried JetPunk, and it led me to a quiz series by @TheRealGrantma. I was unaware that it was a quiz website, but when I clicked on the quizzes, I enjoyed taking them. They inspired me to make my own.
A few months later, I found out about the RUB. I hosted a contest, but it sucked so I deleted it. I finally had the nerve to remake it eight months later, and now hosting RUB games is all that I do now lol
During the pandemic I was teaching my kids from home. The school district gave them these tiny Chromebooks and searching for lesson topics Jetpunk came up on one of the last days. It was a geography quiz, not sure which one, probably countries of the world. I just remember being so addicted to the first two letters of the countries of the world that the school district remotely shut down the computer and made me drop it off at the district office.
I've been playing ever since without an account. I would play a lot with my youngest son and he would always remind me that I could set up an account if I wanted, but always resisted thinking there would be a lot of spam. He became more persuasive as he got older and I finally succumbed earlier this year.

The rest, as they say, is history!
