How do I make multiple answer columns?

Submitted by MoviesMan on February 21, 2026
I'm trying to make a quiz in which multiple answer columns are necessary, I go into manual mode and try changing the text to an answer the word becomes whatever word was in the original answer column. Why is this happening? (Sidenote, I'm really bad at understanding code/ computer things, if possible, please explain it like I'm 5 years old)

I honestly also am confused on this and I hope there is a better way but what I have done was in step 2, I list all the things I want for my hint columns, then I in the answer column I list all the answers I want for both columns. In the manual mode I then make an answer column. I then use the answer that is hint-less and then the next column appears. Though another table is in the side and I do not know how to get rid of it.

I apologize that I am not the best at explaining things but if you want I can collaborate the quiz that I was able to do this on so you can make a copy and fill in your own information.

Find a quiz that looks like what you want. Copy it and replace everything with your stuff.

In the manual mode of the design grid, you're able to make a cell correspond to a hint or answer that you placed in Step 2.

Go to manual mode, then click on a cell, and where it says "cell type," click on answer and you're able to choose an answer for that cell. With that, you can make multiple columns of answers.

My problem is that it then changes what I typed to what I put in the original answer column, how do I make it not do that?

It's supposed to do that... I reckon. What are you trying to do?

Have multiple answer columns with different things in each box, I've seen it done before

There was a quiz, about the full names of presidents for the last 100 years, but I can't remember it's exact name, for one I do remember, U.S. Presidents & Vice Presidents by Hadokatowl has multiple answer columns, I asked how he got multiple answers, but his answer was the same as everyone else's so far.

You can choose an answer for a cell; in fact, one answer can appear on multiple cells.
