How does user spotlight work?

I don't understand how this function works, are the quizzes just handpicked by QM?

Users are randomly picked to get the spotlight award, the higher level the higher chance you have (Have to be Level 50).
You can choose a quiz of yours or someone else's to be picked to go to the spotlight page.

- The quiz has to be in English
- The quiz cannot be featured or spotlighted in the past 60 days

However, if you make quality quizzes, other users, especially those who don't make quizzes themselves, might award you one.
As for quality quizzes, i doubt mine are particularly original, but at least they're not duplicates (i think).
Also, your chances increase for every 10 levels, so level 60 gets 2 tickets into the prize pool, level 70 gets 3, and so on.
Even though you're level 70 your chances per day are still less than 1%.
