How much does it cost in your country?

Submitted by Elboy on September 3, 2025
I wondered how much some international brand items cost in other countries (not online shops or airports duty free zones).

Here are some prices as we find them in stores (average), in France:

- Big Mac Menu: 10€

- Levi's Jean (man): 120€

- Nike Air Max sneakers: 120€

- Evian water bottle (1L): 0.6€

- Packets of original Oreo (150g): 2€

- iPhone 16: 1000€

How much cost these items in your country?

Didn't know what some of these cost here to be honest but doing some quick searches shows that they are basically identical to the prices you listed here, for Greece.

In Scotland these items cost:

Levi's jeans : £100 (Tho price varies from £70 to £140 depending on the type of jeans

Nike air max sneakers : £135

Evian water bottle : £1.30

Oreos : £1.50

iphone 16 : £700

Also when you say Big Mac menu idk what u mean by that, r u talking about every type of big mac on the menu combined or smth else cuz 10 euros is rly expensive for a single big mac

No big variations here either!

In France a Big Mac menu includes the burger + French fries + small soft drink.

Idk the price of the burger alone.

we call it a big mac meal, a "meal" is as you say a main, a side and a drink for a combined price.

Yes, that seems to be the equivalent of French "menu".

Well there actually is a big difference because i checked online and it said that chips cost £1.59, a Fanta costs £1.39 and a big mac costs £499 so £501.98 total

Honestly, it could actually make sense to answer since it can vary quite a bit within a country. One of the first thing I learnt about Dijon when I moved there for my two first years of higher studies was that the city has the most expensive Big Mac menu in France. What is pretty surprising. I would have bet somewhere in Ile-de-France.

I though McDonalds had the same prices all over the territory of a country! Weird idea!

In my country of origin (Armenia) an iPhone 16 is a little more than ֏ 300 000, which is roughly $785. If that sounds cheap, keep in mind that the average Armenian wage is significantly lower than in the US or in EU countries. Things are significantly cheaper in Armenia, but people also make a lot less money, so it balances out :)

Ofc prices are always indexed to the cost of living. Yet it's interesting to see if some notable differences can be observed. From the few comments here, none are notables. Too bad only Europeans or near neighbors have answered.
