How often can you post on JP before it gets "too much"?

Submitted by akjlddkjslfsd on February 4, 2026
It's certainly subjective, but I feel like the maximum frequency of posting before it gets "too much" depends on the type of post you're making:

- For quizzes: Up to a few per day given it's not spam or low-effort quizzes;

- For blogs: One blog every 2-3 days, preferably at least 3 days;

- For MB posts: Up to one post per day.

I'm not against anyone who doesn't stick to these frequencies, but personally I feel like these are "soft limits" to posting on JP. What's your opinion?

I am not at the level yet to create blogs but I feel that the quizzes limits is perfect since you don't want to go to the point where you are focusing on quantity over quality and the message board it is like 1 post per day unless there is an absolute necessity for a second post. The other thing I want to point out is time availability since if you work a very busy job or you are a student involved in many extracirriculars the definition of few might apply only to one quiz since they would only have the time to make 1 good quality quiz. Rather a 20 year old unemployed person living with their parents would have time to make several good quality quizzes. With that being said I think it is fair to implement a system where when somebody reaches the upper limits the 8th 9th and 10th quiz of the day would need to have pending approval to ensure they are not posting low quality Jargon into JetPunk. They should also set a limit for quizzes per hour at like 3 because if it takes you one hour

to use up all your 10 you are not putting effort into it at all.

Sorry I ran out of characters in the first comment so I had to countinue it here.

At the end of the day though, not all good quizzes require extensive effort. There are so many featured quizzes that probably took like 20 minutes to make.

I think Message board posts are 1-2 days, and if you haven't had a post in ~5 posts on top of that (so if no one else posts after 1 day, best not to?)

Yeah, I like this. I usually limit to five quizzes a day at max, and it's usually when I want to release a quiz series all at once, or start a new one. I'll follow through with these.

To be honest, I'm guilty of creating whole series/sub-series (sometimes it takes several days of 'research') at once and then publishing as many quizzes per day as I'm allowed. I've already questioned if that's spamming in my mind.

But, judging by what I've seen so far, I don't think that my occasional publishing routine has depraved that many new user quizzes of takes. Especially since I usually update in early morning CET when not that many users seem to be active.

I tend to be moderate in other aspects of (ab)using this site, though.

As long as you provide some benefit to this community then I don't see it as spamming

As far as quizzes go I know I get mildly annoyed when someone makes/updates a ton of quizzes in a single day and I get notifications for it but also most of my quizzes take more than a day to make anyway so it’s never been a problem for me really.
