How To Add Dots on your own SVG

How?

I know how to use normal SVG Dot Placer but how do you add the dots on your own SVG? Only JetPunk SVG’s are options. Example:

You can also use JetPunk's dot placer for placing dots. Then you can open that SVG in Inkscape and change the colors
