How to get more plays on a quiz? I tried to make it as good and interesting as possible (not referring to my existing quiz, just asking for advice in general).
Advertising is fine (in moderation), but it's generally best to make quizzes that appeal to wide audience (like geography, or something like a memory quiz which everyone has the ability to take). Make good quizzes, and you'll get takes. Usually.
Honestly you really shouldn't strive to get a lot of takes. Like obviously most people want their quizzes to get seen and recognized, but focusing on that number isn't really healthy.
Make quizzes you yourself enjoy and think are interesting, with time they might become popular and gain takes.
I mean, I've gotten 1 spotlight but I didn't give it to myself, and while obviously I want my quizzes to be successful, that's not something I'm going to obsess over, I make quizzes I myself want to play, if they get popular that's just a cool bonus.
When I was abit younger and first started making quizzes they were of lower quality but I still found the occasional comment of support more valuable than alot of takes.
Don't stress over getting takes, it's not worth it.
As others have said, try to make the best quiz you can, that may appeal to others. Obscure niche quizzes never do that well, whereas more popular subjects are likely to get a better reaction.
I make quizzes, and blogs for that matter, to keep my brain active in my advancing years (I'm almost 63!). Any takes and comments are a welcome bonus.
I was on the site and making quizzes for almost 5 years before I got my first featured quiz, and spotlights didn't even exist until a couple years ago. Make quizzes that you enjoy taking, to help you and others learn things and don't focus on the takes they get. Some of my favorite quizzes are my least taken and some of my very least favorites are my most popular.
If someone finds a quiz of yours really amazing then they might give it a spotlight award but otherwise nah
