JetPunk Events?

Submitted by TwelvePointFont on March 5, 2026
How do large community events, games, quiz projects, etc. work? Are they started by the site management, by users, both? Are they official things or informal (for example, I haven’t been able to find like an official info page anywhere for the MCCQ project, just a bunch of quizzes involved in it)? Do they have pages somewhere? Do you have to be a certain level to participate? I’m interested in how these work.

The game shows in the blog section have a sign up blog and you can just comment on that to join. As long as you can comment (which doesn't even take that high of a level) and join groups and stuff, I don't think there's a level requirement.

Oh ok, so there’s like an official games blog?

There isn't an official games blog, it's just done by whichever users want to run a game.

The biggest are Capybarra and Nickelz, I think. Maybe there's more?

More 'events' to be involved in include joining groups.

The Interesting Facts (ask IFGroup or Neodymium if you want to join), Quiz Advertisement Group (contact Pontiac) and JetPunk Magazine Group (run by LuckyCat) are some places to be involved.

The things were usually organised more by the people than QM or Stewart, though whenever a new feature is created, people start using it a lot, before it dies down, sort-of causing a mini-event.

The MCCQ project started with QM making a few, before users all made their own, so it started being something big.

As for the game things, you just sign up like what zarodinu said

Quiz projects and game blog events usually happens when someone has an idea, posts a blog and/or message board post about it, and people find it.

Groups are another great way to hold an event.
