JetPunk Recommendations

I have been a JetPunker(?) for 10 years now, and I wanted to share some feedback and recommendations that I have observed and gathered since I first started on this site.

Feedback:

QM has done a magnificent job implementing new features that keep this website fresh and exciting. User blogs, badges, series, playlists and user spotlights are just some of the features that have been implemented over the last decade, so thank you.

Year-in-reviews are always a fantastic read. Love how open QM is and the choice of data he shares that a lot of us want to know. Here is 2023's year in review so you can see what I'm talking about.

JetPunk premium has been a godsend. Being able to see your quiz analytics (single quiz takes per day from any day in its history, quiz comparisons, your top days in account history for quiz takes, and many more!) have enabled me to track my stats and feel more invested in this website and community as a whole.

Account creation. I feel like taking a bit of credit for this one because back in 2021 I had messaged QM about when exactly I had created my account, and he got back to me with the exact date, and then some time thereafter had implemented the account creation date in the "Your Account" section of one's profile.

Recommendations:

I really wish we could message users directly. Messaging through comments isn't always the most appropriate place for certain discussions.

Example: I liked one of Jiaozira's map quizzes, and wanted to ask him if he would be interested in making a quiz on insert topic. Being able to go back and forth in conversation smoothly without polluting the comment section would be a great feature.

I really wish that when playing a quiz in a series, that the quiz series box wasn't relegated/camouflaged to the right side where it blends in under the "New and Popular" and "Similar Quizzes by Tag" boxes. It was only today that I even noticed its existence. If QM could either change the colour or move it to a more centralized/visible location on the screen that would be a great improvement.

On a similar note, I've noticed on occasion when a quiz in a playlist finishes there is a pop-up saying "Next Up on Playlist" and it lists the next quiz in the lineup. Maybe we should have this feature for series as well?
